Pittsburgh Boxing 2022: Made Men Present Rivers Rumble XII

Pittsburgh, Pa. – Bill Hutchinson (19-2-4, 9 KO’s) seeks to claim his 10th consecutive victory in the boxing ring when the Steel City super lightweight faces Rondale Hubbert (14-19-3, 8 KO’s) of Fargo, North Dakota, Saturday, January 29, in a six-round clash at Rivers Rumble XII. It is the main event of a seven-bout fight card from Angelo Magone’s Made Men Promotions at Rivers Casino.

It is the first time being between the ropes for Hutchinson, 33, since his unanimous decision triumph after eight rounds Saturday, December 7, 2019, against Gabriel Smith (10-2-1, 4 KO’s). Seven times Hutch’s opponents have not gone the distance with him.

The 33-year-old Hubbert is 1-1-1 in his last three matchups, with the win coming Saturday, December 4, 2021, over southpaw Raymond Chacon (8-45-1) at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, North Dakota.

Matchmaker Cedric Harden has Pittsburgh’s Chatiqua “Tika” Hemingway (1-0-0) making her hometown debut against Jozette Cotton (0-0-1) from Omaha, Nebraska, across four rounds of super middleweight competition.

On Saturday, November 7, 2020, Hemingway collected her first professional victory by unanimous decision versus Miranda Barber (2-4-0, 1 KO) at the Sports Event Center in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Per BoxRec.com, Tika assembled a record of 28-13-1 as an amateur from March 2006 to November 2019. She captured the 2019 National Golden Glove championship in the 178-pound class.

Cotton battled Jordanne Garcia (4-1-2) to a draw Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the Isleta Casino and Resort in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is 1-0-0 in bare-knuckle boxing with a split decision win over Erin Toughill (0-1-0) in July 2021 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Another Pittsburgher, Joey Turk, makes his professional heavyweight debut in a four-round challenge opposite Albert Taylor (0-2-0) from Toledo, Ohio. Turk is a seven-time golden glove and three-time state champion. He trains at the Exercise Warehouse Gym and Fitness Center on Liberty Avenue in the City of Bridges.
