ROCHESTER, NY – The United Collegiate Hockey Conference announced on Tuesday, July 30, the conference’s All-Academic team selections for the 2018-19 season. The UCHC’s all-academic distinction is an opportunity to recognize student athletes at our member institutions not only for the work they put in to be part of a collegiate hockey program, but the work they do inside the classroom to prepare for future careers beyond the rink.
For All-Academic consideration, member schools submit the names of players who meet the conference’s eligibility criteria. To be eligible, a player must have completed at least one academic year at their current institution, while holding a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 for all terms of the stipulated 2018-19 academic year.
A total of 316 student-athletes were named to the combined annual list, with Chatham University accounting for 38 overall. The two squads provided 19 players each, putting the women’s team in second place among their competition and the men’s team in fourth.
