Pittsburgh, Pa. – Angelo Magnone and Made Men Promotions return to the outdoor amphitheater on the North Shore at Rivers Casino Saturday, July 14 for River Rumble IX: In The Cage, a live professional and amateur mixed martial arts event.
Two lightweights come together in an exciting main event with Pittsburgh’s Khama Worthy (10-6) facing off against Brady Hovermale (11-7) from Marion, Indiana. The 31-year-old Worthy won his last outing by unanimous decision over Michael Roberts (5-7-1) Saturday, March 24, 2018, during Pinnacle Fighting Championships 16 at the IceoPlex at Southpointe in Canonsburg, PA.
Worthy owns the Academy MMA Fitness Center on Campbells Run Road and is rated the sixth pro lightweight in the Keystone State by BluegrassMMA/Tapology. Hovermale, 27, lists as the ninth pro featherweight in the Hoosier State.
Fans of the lightweight division will also enjoy the matchup between the Burgh’s Mike Wilkins (8-4) and Eric Vo (15-19) of Dubuque, Iowa, Wilkins, 31, claimed a submission victory by rear-naked choke in the second round against Brett Martinez (6-5) in November 2017 during Bellator 186 in University Park, PA.
The MMA veteran is known as “Iron City” and is considered the eighth pro lightweight in Pennsylvania. The 31-year-old Vo is ranked as the fifth pro featherweight in Iowa and 23rd in the US Midwest as a pro featherweight.
Rounding out the pro side of the card is Josh Fremd (2-1) from Uniontown, PA vs. Andre Hall (1-0) of Jacksonville, North Carolina (middleweight); the City of Bridges’ Jonas Rubiano (0-1) vs. Chris McKinney (0-1) of Beckley, WV (bantamweight); John Antanitis (1-1) from Pittsburgh Vs. Donelei Benedetto (2-2) from Fredricksburg, VA (middleweight).
Leading the amateur side is a pair of unbeaten light heavyweights hailing from Pennsylvania. Dalton Rosta (5-0) from New Castle enters the Octagon opposite Devon Williams (4-0) of Philadelphia.
Remaining amateur bouts include Cheyenne Hall vs. Stephanie Lehecka; Marcus Williamson vs. Vs. Vladimir Jean-Philippe; Cody Law vs. Teyonte Hawkins; Geronimo Velasquez vs. Ryan McDermott; Kelly Stout vs. Leticia Candra; Luis Rivera Vs. Christian Bosco.
