Pittsburgh, Pa. – Coming off their 61-0 triumph over the Cleveland Fusion to wrap up the regular season, muliple members of the Pittsburgh Passion were acknowledged Monday, June 11, by the Women’s Football Alliance.
The WFA All-American Game is Saturday, July 28 at 3:00 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank Stadium, part of Kennesaw State University in Georgia. It is one of the events of the WFA National Championship weekend, and 10 members of the Passion are on the National Conference roster. Here are the athletes who were chosen from the City of Bridges.
First Team – National Conference:
QB – Lisa Horton (16th Season / 14th Selection)
WR – Angela Baker (7th Season / 6th Selection)
OL – Samantha Simeone (7th Season / 2nd Selection)
C – Dawn Pederson (12th Season Overall / 1st Selection as Member of the Passion)
LB – Hannah Daman (4th Season / 2nd Selection)
DT – Kaitlyn Niedermeyer (9th Season / 3rd Selection)
DE – Kim Zubovic (14th Season / 6th Selection)
DB – Krystal Cozzo (10th Season / 2nd Selection)
S – Sharon Vasquez (13th Season / 8th Selection)
Second Team – National Conference:
DE – Kelcie Edmonds (2nd Season / 1st Selection)

Baker, Ferragonio, and Horton were part of Team USA that won the Gold Medal at the 2017 IFAF Women’s World Championship. The contest was Tuesday, June 27, 2017, and played at McCloud Stadium in Langley, British Columbia, Canada.
